The manual has been piloted in selected schools of all five continents. In Greece the project received endorsements by the National Pedagogical Institute Ministry of Education.

The presentation is focused on the introduction of Olympic Education in the mainstream education of Greece since 1998, when officially began the first pilot application, conducted by the National Pedagogical Institute in conjunction with the Foundation of Olympic and Sport Education. A critical report is being held on the objectives of the pilot program, the strategic planning actions, the methodology followed, the educational materials the teachers’ training courses and the evaluation results. The presentation also examines the master planning after the first pilot application that led to the program expansion to all Greek schools and all school grades.
The development and establishment of the educational program, commencing from the preparatory work and the Recommendation file’s actions of the “Athens 2004” Organising Committee is being examined. The objectives, the content and the indicative activities for the Public schools and the Universities are articulated after the signature of Memorandum of Co-operation between the "Athens 2004" Organising Committee and the Ministry of Education.
The evaluation results, the program advantages and the opinions of the students and teachers who participated in the program application prove the innovative character of the Greek program and its instructive approaches. Finally, a series of proposals is made for the further improvement of its application quality.
